Sports & Vitality play a key role in the empowerment of citizens, even more so in the (post) coronavirus era: EPSI, Inno4Sports and ClusSport will talk about this topic in a special pitch session Wednesday 7 October (12.30-13.30 CET).

Sports & Vitality play a key role in the empowerment of citizens, even more so in the (post) coronavirus era. In the framework of the European Week of Regions and Cities, three main players in this field, Inno4Sport (Interreg Europe project), ClusSport (S3 platform) and EPSI, will provide inspiration and outline specific measures regarding how regions are investing in innovative solutions in the area of Sports & Vitality.

They will present the positive impact of these investments on both business and society and how new collaboration models could work. Special attention will be given to the development of innovation hubs for sports & vitality based on regional excellence and objectives.

This one-hour session, moderated by EPSI Executive Director Rene Wijlens, will be a key opportunity to get first-hand insight into how the excellence of regions and interregional collaboration can help to develop new businesses and strengthen the societal impact on sports and vitality.

The European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) is the biggest annual Brussels-based event dedicated to regional policy. The event has grown to become a unique communication and networking platform, bringing together regions and cities from all over Europe, including their political representatives, officials as well as experts and academics. Over the last 17 years, it has done much to promote policy learning and exchange of good practices.
