The European Platform for Sport Innovation is in first line to support one of the most important actors of the sport movement: Volunteeerism. Thanks to Project EYVOL, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the EU, we aim to foster inclusive youth environments by implementing innovative educational methods based on sport to train youth leaders and volunteers.

In the framework of the Project – coordinated by the International Olympic Truce Center – EPSI spent two days in Paris, for two events organised by the Université Paris 1 Sorbonne, one of the project partners.

On the first day, 26 October, the Transnational Project Meeting took place. During the event, partners met in order to talk about the project developments. In particular, EPSI in the frame of the EYVOL project, is laying the foundation to develop the first app aimed to match volunteers skills and hosting organisations.

27 October was the day the First International Conference on International Sport Volunteerism. At the Maison du Handball, keynote speakers and panels talk about the importance of volunteerism and the crucial role of volunteers for the sport movement. Alberto Bichi moderated a specific session titled “Volunteering with the Sport Business Industry”.

Moreover, this event gave EPSI the opportunity to build its network with highly experts individuals representing among others ILO (International Labour Organisation), Olympic Committees, Ministries and FFF (French Football Federation).
