Last 10th December, we had the pleasure to participate the ACES Europe Gala at the EU Parliament, where EPSI Executive Director had the opportunity to have a quick conversation with Ms Mariya Gabriel, freshly appointed as EU Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, with responsibilities in the field of sport.

The presence of Innovation in her portfolio is welcomed by our network and we are looking forward to cooperate. EPSI is putting at the EU’s disposal our experience in research and technology applied to the field of sport, that’s an omni-comprehensive topic that touches all the competences in her portfolio.

We kindly thank ACES Europe for the opportunity to actively participate to their Gala. It represented a milestone of their activities, with the official hand-over of the European Capital of Sport title, who’s being transferred from Budapest (Hungary) to Malaga (Spain).

EPSI’s relationship with ACES grows strongly: the two organizations not only share the House of Sport Premises in Brussels, but – since July – ACES has become an important EPSI member, giving their support to our Sport Innovation mission.
