EASPD and EPSI will exchange relevant information and news pertaining to innovation in sport and disability, as well as explore potential project opportunities and raise awareness of key events.

By signing a Memorandum of Understanding, both EPSI, and EASPD confirm that they will work together sharing knowledge, and information and collaborating to address challenges related to innovation in sports and disability and support each other with the promotion of projects and events.

The partnership

The roadmap of EPSI and EASPD collaboration includes mutual support for the upcoming European Alliance for Sport and Mental Health: Conference on Psychiatric Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation through Sport that EPSI organizes.

Sport is a growing factor in Europe’s economy and society. Everyone, including persons with disabilities, has a right to enjoy and participate in sporting activities. This right is enshrined in Article 30 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD). In our communities today, however, many sporting structures both at a recreational and professional level are not inclusive and accommodating to all.

Innovation and partnership stand at the center of creating more inclusive and diverse spaces in sports. And with our cooperation, we believe we can make a difference.
