We attended a special seminar in Brussels promoted by the EU Commission, focused on the Tartu Call for Healthy Lifestyle, launched in September 2017. Alberto Bichi was panelist during the event.

The Seminar explored how the European Commission, sport organisations, associations and civil society have responded to the Tartu Call. The event emphasized the Commission’s desire to continue to promote healthy lifestyles as part of its policy initiatives, actions and overall agenda.

This will was demonstrated by the participation of Tibor Navracsics, Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport; Vytenis Andriukaitis, Commissioner for Health and Food Safety; and Phil Hogan, Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development – those who launched the call in Estonia two years ago.

EPSI Secretary General Alberto Bichi was panelist during the event, in a special session where he stressed the importance of bridging different sectors in promoting sport and physical activity. Moreover, he had the opportunity to talk about ClusSport network and EPSI regional partnership scheme, as a best practice of joint action towards a healthy lifestyle.
