The European Platform for Sport Innovation celebrates its commitment in the European Commission annual initiative to promote a healthy lifestyle in Europe: let’s #BeActive!
From 23 to 30 September, let’s #BeActive! Millions of people, sports professionals, enthusiasts, experts and associations from across Europe – and beyond – every year come together to take part in one of the biggest sport initiatives in the world: the European Week of Sport. Led by the European Commission and co-organised by national coordinators and sport partners all over Europe, the Week promotes an active lifestyle through a variety of celebrations and events.
EPSI #BeActive Partner since 2015
EPSI is partner of the European Commission since the first edition of the Week. Launched in 2015, the #BeActive European Week of Sport was created in response to the worsening inactivity crisis. From that day, the Week has continued to grow year after year, encouraging ever more Europeans to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle. From five million participants and 7,000 events in 2015, the 2018 edition drew in a staggering 12 million participants across 48,500 events.
In 2019, the 5th-annual European Week of Sport has been the biggest ever, with events supported by 47 partner associations in 41 countries. The Week is for everyone – regardless of age, background or fitness level – and helps individuals, public authorities, the sport movement, civil society organisations and the private sector collaborate in the field of sport.
EPSI 2020 #BeActive e-vents
This year, EPSI organises a series of non-physical meetings, aimed at promoting sport and the #BeActive spirit at national and international level.
24 September: EPSI Italian Webinar. After the success of the EPSI Irish Webinar last Summer, EPSI is organising a new business oriented event dedicated to Italian Organisation. This event will be an opportunity for participants for sharing experiences and understand the expertise of the different EPSI members. Read more.
29-30 September: Digital Conference “Smart Systems to #BeActive”. EPSI will be co-organiser of EPoSS Annual Forum 2020, digital event with a focus on Smart Systems for applications in Sports and Healthcare, for Active Lifestyle and for sustainable and healthy environment. Read more.
2 November 2020. EPSI Finnish Webinar. As the Italian Webinar, the Finnish Webinar will represent a good opportunity to create business and projects. Originally scheduled in October, the Finnish Webinar will take place 2nd November from 13:00 to 15.00 Finnish Time (12.00-14:00 CEST). Read more.
