Building Innovative Governance for Sports


The Project
BIG4SPORTS aims at connecting funding sources (public and private) with sports organisations to jointly develop new and innovative collaboration schemes in Good Governance for sport.
Project summary
Following the guiding concepts of democracy, transparency, accountability and stakeholder representation, BIG4SPORTS will reinforce the capacities of sport organisations to get acquainted and adopt the requisites and best practices in terms of GG and Financial Integrity aligned with the sport’s industry best practices, to grant an easier access to private funding for sport activities – following the same arguments growingly being adopted by public authorities.
General Objectives
The objective of the project is to strengthen GG capacities of sport organisations fruit of their collaboration with public and private sponsors, achieving long-lasting cooperation between them.

Newly Established Global Network Calls for Sport Skills Development at 59th Session of the UN Commission for Social Development
On 15 February, the International Labour Organization (ILO), ADECCO, the European Platform for Sport Innovation (EPSI) and the International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS) held a side event on ‘Skills for the Sport Eco-Systems’ during the 59th Session of the UN Commission for Social Development (CSocD59).
