Sport is fun, exciting and it brings people together. Sport is also based on fairness and respect – regardless of who you are and where you come from. This makes it a powerful tool for breaking barriers and building a more inclusive society.
The European Commission #BeInclusive EU Sport Awards will recognise organisations using the power of sport to increase social inclusion for disadvantaged groups.
The #BeInclusive EU Sport Awards invites all organisations in Europe– public or private, commercial or not-for-profit – that have successfully developed sport projects aimed at social inclusion to enter their initiatives. Projects will be evaluated according to their contribution to social inclusion through sport.
Winning projects will be showcased to inspire other organisations and individuals around Europe – but sharing a project can earn much more than well-deserved recognition: the winning projects will also be awarded €10,000!
The 3 winners will be announced in November at a special awards ceremony in Brussels. They will also have the opportunity to present their projects to an audience of sport inclusion experts and receive their €10,000 awards. Six preselected projects will each receive €2,500.
