Business angels, pitching business ideas, and B2B matchmaking
Even great events must come to an end and we were faced with that fact during the final hours of the last day of our Annual Conference in Bergamo. Our day began by exploring the Move City Sport tradeshow and making new connections with the participating companies on the different stands. Before the start of our official program, we had a standing lunch with networking that turned out to be a prequel to the B2B matchmaking event.
First on the agenda was a fantastic presentation delivered by Susy Longoni from Europe Enterprise Network (strategic partner of EPSI). She presented in detail the functions of the EEN network and how it brings added value to its members and European businesses in general. She answered some questions from the participants before giving the floor to Jan Debets from Business Angels Europe who participated virtually and talked about angel investing in sports tech. Besides him, there were also three angel investors from Italy participating.
Then it was time for the business idea pitches from some of our members. We heard the great business concepts of Forwards Sports, Factor 23, and the International Centre for Taekwondo and Mental Coach.
The day concluded with the B2B matchmaking sessions where our members had the chance to sit down with investors and potential partners and share how they could accelerate their businesses and other projects.
