The General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (also referred to as "GDPR") is a regulation in European law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union and the European Economic Area. Since its entry into force, controllers of personal data must put in place appropriate technical and organisational measures to implement the data protection principles. Business processes that handle personal data must be designed and built with consideration of the principles and provide safeguards to protect data.
With the entry into force of Regulation 2018/1725 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data by the Union institutions, bodies, offices and agencies and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter referred to as "IDPR") on December 11 2018, Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture has to inform you about its updated privacy policy and obtain your explicit consent before contacting you in view of our upcoming events and activities.
This Regulation offers exactly the same rights to EU citizens but also enhanced procedures when compared to the General Data Protection Regulation.
